To Decal or not to Decal?

I've just ordered another Warmoth Strat neck, a Modern Vintage with a 59 Roundback, and a Maple back/ Pau Ferro fretboard. Unfortunately Warmoth are out of their Smoke Chrome Metal Decals which I like, and say it may be some time before they have them in stock again. Got me thinking that maybe its better to leave the headstock Decal free as many Warmoth owners seem to do. What's your own preference?

What's your own preference?

This is my preference, but if I had to go with a decal, I'd make some kind of custom graphic, for example my name or initials as a logo.

As some of you already know, I'm in the process of having a Van Halen Frankenstein done up. The headstock will sport this logo on it.

Just before Ed switched over to Music Man he was sporting the Ernie Ball logo on the Kramer 5150. I know mine is a Frankenstein but the spirit is still there.

It's a personal choice I suppose.

I always use the metal Warmoth emblems, but it sounds like I'll be out of luck on those for a bit.

Blank. I like the Strat headstock shape, but don't have enough of a fanboy complex to require a decal; Fender or other.

For my $.02 - I just think a guitar looks "unfinished" with a naked headstock. But if people like em naked, more power to ya.
