Wow, that was about 300x more interesting than the average web news front page.  No celebrity crap! 

I like the story about learning the Cherokee language.  It seems like it would be very difficult to learn if English is your first language, since like Asian languages and Gaelic, it's not related to Latin at all.

I enjoyed seeing the birth of a school music program, especially one that was originally shut down some twenty years ago.  The videos weren't working for me, but I think most of us know the sounds of an elementary band at work.
