This Warmoth relic could be yours!

Oh, I don't know... at $21 (current bid, but I am sure it will go way above that) it seems like it might be worth a flyer...

If that is a full Warmoth Tele. and it stayed that price. it would be hella worth it.

nothing a little paint and time cant fix!

I'll bet the guy who pawned it was pretty much kicking his own ass on the way out, cause if he'd spent about 15 bucks at the hardware store he could've finished it a lot better. Pawnshop guys don't usually know much beyond "FENDER" and "GIBSON" so he probably got like $30 or so. The neck and pickups are worth at least $300. Does basswood burn well?

I don't see anything.   :icon_scratch:

You don't see those giant areas of missing paint that in no way resemble how paint would actually wear?

I'm pretty sure a lot of people are missing the hotlink.

Hahaha I like that there is wear at the upper bout. Seriously who even touches that part of the guitar when they are playing  :laughing7:

Well whatever, its only at like 150 dollars right now, and that neck looks like its got some relatively nice figuring on it.

i like the speculation on the maker of the body & the neck, even though it mentions that there are brass inserts in the neck.  so they took it off to see that, but didn't look to see if there was a turtle, which would also tell the frets, radius, and nut width?

The default forum highlight for links with this color scheme is NFG. That's why I always hit the "bold" and "underline" for the link text. Takes an extra two seconds when posting. Otherwise, it's almost impossible to tell there's a link there. I'm sure it's configurable, because this is the only forum I've ever seen behave this way and this is fairly common message board software. Whoever's administrating this place just hasn't done it. They've also never bothered to clean up the text filters, which are sorta silly in some ways. But, that's a little more complicated in that you sometimes have to understand regex, so it's not unusual to use the defaults.

Something looks odd about the neck joint/pickguard detail.  From the side adjust truss rod, it looks to be a Warmoth Pro neck, but the fretboard to neck glue joint is hard to make out, then again no skunk stripe so it has to be 2 piece.  Also, this is a 22 fret neck, but the overhang over the pickguard isn't visible; no gap under fretboard on top of pickguard.  The fretboard does look lower on the body, which leads me to believe this was a 720 mod and had the pickguard cut to go around the 22nd fret.  Can't tell enough from the pics though.

Besides the lack of gap, the side dots on this appear to be partially covered, leading me to believe the neck is lower.

It's maple over maple, so the joint line is barely visible. But, I can see it in the first picture. I'm not sure what you mean about the overhang, though. Looks pretty clear to me. There is little gap, so you may be right about the 720 mod on the body. I've not seen anybody else use that Gotoh truss rod adjuster that gives you side access, so it's a pretty good bet that's a Warmoth Pro neck. Also, those frets look substantial; I'd guess they're 6105s or 6100s.

All things considered - the Warmoth Pro neck with big frets, the locking Schallers, and the pickups alone would justify as much as $200, and throw the body in the fireplace. If one were willing to strip and refinish it, the body is probably viable, too. But, that would probably be more work than it would be worth unless you were jonesing for a project.

For the amateur like myself, stripping would present a real hassle if doing chemically.  Most of the brush on paint strippers would eat right through the plastic binding.
