Here's one for all you tele aficionados:  do you have to put a pickguard on these?

I'd really rather have a metal control cover over the cavity but the covers on the Warmoth site look like they are the wrong shape...

 I thought you were asking about the pickup. In my defense, I just woke up.

Pickup surroung=pickup ring.

A standard tele plate will not work there. You might be able to get someone to make one for you.

No you don't - "W" sells pickguard material - you could make your own cover for the controls - and put a ring for the neck pickup. Probably a lot easier then how you have to install the standard piece.

nope, i'm sure you can find a metal control plate for that, or fashion one out of pickguard material.

The standard Tele control plate won't work on that body, but Warmoth does make thinline bodies with the standard tele control route. Then you could just use a metal control plate and a pickup ring for the neck pickup.

Hey if you aren't comfortable making your cover I can do it for you...... I can do wood, plastic pickguard material or aluminum.  PM me if you would like to discuss this!!

You can have W make a body with - standard "hot dog" control cover route on the front, or with rear control access, or with no f/hole (or 2 f/holes...).  Its all possible.
