Thinline Question - Mount Electronics on Pickguard or Control Plate Under it?

I ordered a thinline pickguard from Warmoth. On other thinline pictures i have seen there is what looks like a thinner control plate behind the pickguard that the electronics sit on. Does that come with the pickguard or do i have to order a control plate? Im confused since it looks like the plate on a standard telecaster. For reference see the below vid at 2:22:

Welcome to the forum! That isn’t a separate plate, it is a conductive foil applied to the back of the pickguard that bonds the chassis of the electrical components mounted to it. Your Warmoth guard will have similar. :icon_thumright:
