Heyy
I have just ordered a Thinline Tele from Warmoth, my first build! YAY!
And was wondering if the exotic wood tops are thick enough to inlay, also, are the tops unfinished? so if I do inlay, will sanding affect it?
Thanks alot

Thinline bodies are 1/4" thick, so you can inlay and sand (as far as it's not huge thing) in my understanding...

Most inlay work is only .050 thick, so the inlay should not be a problem.  If you ordered a finished body, then the top is finished... if you ordered an unfinished body then the top is raw wood - sanded.

You'll need to position, trace, route, and glue the inlays.  Then level the inlays by sanding, then fill the gaps and finish normally.

Cool, custom inlaid top... what are you going to put on there?  Have any pics?
