Figured I'd move this over from out of the box to start to show some of my progress.
Thinline Tele - Cherry burst - Quilted maple top - Alder body
Birdseye/ Birdseye neck - SS6105's -1 3/4" nut - wizard profile - satin finish - no inlays.
You might notice the pickups - Seymour Duncans - hot rail bridge - vintage stack neck. I will have a push/pull volume to split both pick-ups and a EMG AB for variable boost. I wanted a fairly traditional looking Tele - however I am a hard rock/metal player hence the humbuckers and pre-amp
Sperzel Open back sound locks - never had them before but I love the look of them and the concept of how to install the strings - scary drilling holes in this neck though. But actually I bought a little battery powered Dremel and it worked great and gave me great control.
will post more as I continue - couple weeks due to travel schedule.
Here it is laid out before I start assembly -
Cleaning out the holes for the string ferrules
String ferrules installed
Neck bolted on temporarily
shielding bridge pick-up route
bridge installed - probably temporarily also ha-ha
More to come.
