Thinking about another short scale bass...

I'm so glad Warmoth is expanding ths short scale lineup. I was originally hoping for a P bass shape, but the G4 is really growing on me. I'm still torn about whether or not I should throw a jazz pickup in the neck position, but once I decide that I'll be ready to place the order. I kind of feel like the single pickup with no pickguard is a little too plain.

Seems to me that offering a shortscale P-style body modeled on the mid-80s Squier E-series bass would make oodles of sense.

although, you could stick another MM humbucker in the EB-0 position for those super deep lows...
