Left: 2001-ish USA Custom one-piece swamp ash body, Warmoth extra-deep extra-wide quartersawn maple "boatneck" with scalloped ebony board, 6100's. Lawrence L500XL and L-290 pickups, Morse-derived rocket science wiring - essentially, all the coil choices with volume & tone for each.
Right: 1993 Fender aluminum body, one of an "overrun" beyond the 100 that went to Fender. 2008 USA Custom maple/pau ferro neck, .840" to .930" "soft-V" carve with SS 6100's. Lawrence blade pickups, this may change as it's intensely "bright" and there's room in there for some (mushy) humbuckers.
Center: The New Baby, a J.L. Smith Custom four-string electric mandolin, read about them here: http://www.jlsmithmandolins.com/ I must admit, when I opened the case the first thing I did was burst out laughing... "Aw, isn't wuzzums so bitty and cute?" etc., but it's a serious piece of work - I got tired of trying to play above the 17th fret on my guitars, I guess. Check the Eastern Shore for occasionally shattered glass, howling dogs etc.
