I had a really hard time getting the flame to jump out in the pics as well as the wood grain to show through the transparent black dye. I requested 'light flame with tight grain pattern' on the neck and that's exactly what I got, love it.  :headbang1:

Body:
Thinline
Swamp Ash
Transparent Black Dye
Natural Mask Binding (looks fantastic with a maple neck)
Gloss Black back and sides
Parchment pickguard
3 way switch
Volume
Black Ice: This is a very interesting thing. I originally wanted to get some extra overdrive through my tube amp, and it does that. I have also started to use it like a unique tone.... hard to explain.. you originally feel like it reduces output but you don't lose presence.. when blending it in you can sense the OD like you have 2 signals not just adding to the signal... very cool very different... I am still working at when and how to use it to best effect..
SD Little '59 Bridge: Great sounding bridge I may go so far to say as I will probably use it more than the neck or neck/bridge combo.
SD Vintage Stack Neck: Very lively for a neck pickup, makes me want a tone control.

Neck:
Flame Maple: I requested light flame with tight grain, I had to explain myself a little bit to Warmoth, kinda like asking for something to be more 'tinty' in the studio I guess.  :toothy11: But they came through and it just about perfectly matches my vision.
Fatback: I have been telling myself standard thin is fine, standard thin is fine..... it isn't.  :tard: I love the fatback and will probably end up switching out all of my necks at some point... If I ever play them again... I like it that much! Damn the '80s for making me think I need a thin neck and obnoxiously low action!
SS6230 Frets: Love that vintage feel, gotta feel the wood! They are unpolished and covered with the neck finish, did I polish them? heck no! I will play the finish off of them, let's call it the 'break in' period.  :guitaristgif:
Vintage Satin Tint: My favorite, even against the exotics I own. (Goncalo and Indian Rosewood)
Schaller Locking Tuners: Love em.

I haven't even changed the strings yet and I would say this is the second most musical instrument I own. Probably in the top 5 guitars I have ever played, it just fits. Tone, feel, looks, I don't think I'll say it's "The One" quite yet but I am certainly comfortable calling it that!
