The one(s) that got away

In the late 70s I had a SUNN Coliseum Lead 100 full stack I wish I still had that unit, it was one loud setup with tone for days.

I have never, in all my 26 year of playing guitar, gotten a string stuck under a pickup coil bobbin...  :dontknow: :icon_scratch:

In my 30 years of playing it's only happened that once. Once was enough. It's nice seeing that Steve Vai has a workaround for it. hehe!!

Also, that is part of the reason why pups have that black tape around the coils. A string will cut right through that copper wire. So, it's not really that uncommon.

A 70's Fender Bassman Amp Head with a Kustom 2 x 15 cabinet.  Would not fit in my car after college so had to trade it on a Marshall practice amp I later gave away (junk).

As for guitars, fortunately, I have all I've ever purchased.  Need to add more!

The only one out of this bunch that has stayed with me is the pink Music Man.

I'm digging the blue sparkle-burst Silhouette, Mullyman - I've always loved those Silhouette necks, and Music Man does a nice paintjob.

Oddly enough, I hated that paint job. It didn't look anything like it did in the catalog. Had no idea it had that sparkle in it.

Out of a lot of guitars, the ones I find my self missing most are a 1987 Heritage H-150 I bought in Kalamazoo at the factory and a Ibanez Artstar ES 335 copy that was set up so perfectly I could never re-create it.  That thing had some amazing cleans.  Sigh...

When I was younger, I had a mod'd Epiphone Zephyr (edit:from the 50s) that someone had put a VERY nice ES-175 style cutaway in and routed for a humbucker in the neck.  I sold it to a friend (who has since moved away) because I had too many guitars and wanted to go on a trip.
