2.   The GOM contest (Guitar of the Month Contest) is held monthly, from February to December each year, with January being reserved for the past years winners, one of which will be chosen by vote as “Guitar of the Year”.
3.   The GOM contest is open to all Unofficial Warmoth Forum members in good standing.

5.   Each submission must be an instrument that fits the criteria for that month’s contest, whose categories will include “Owner Finished” and “Warmoth or Professionally Finished” instruments.  Categories shall typically alternate from month to month. From time to time, staff and management of the Unofficial Warmoth Forum may choose to include other categories and criteria for submission, or hold open submissions with no criteria at all.  All submissions, regardless of the GOM contest monthly criteria, must be an instrument that is built upon a guitar or bass body, a guitar or bass neck, or both body and neck, manufactured by Warmoth Guitar Products, Inc., 6424 112th Street East, Puyallup, WA 98373-4313 USA

7.   “Warmoth or Professionally finished”, within the scope of the GOM contest, shall be defined as an instrument, guitar or bass, that has been finished, or had its finish completed, by someone other than the owner of the instrument.
8.   Alternate submission and contest criteria will be announced at least one month prior to that critera's contest month.
9.  Submitted photographs will be placed in the single post in the GOM section, on the Unofficial Warmoth Forum, by the GOM contest officials, with no particular order of appearance, except that which is generally first come first served.
10.   Voting, each month, shall be by the members in good standing of the Unofficial Warmoth Forum, and take place during the second seven-day week of each month, regardless of day of the week, immediately following the submission period for that month.  Successful contest winners will be announced immediately after the end of voting.  Voting shall take place in a dedicated thread, in the GOM section of the Unofficial Warmoth Forum, and results will remain secret to voters and public until the expiration of the voting period.  The results of the on-line voting are final.
