Heya!

Which PU positioning would have the most versatility on HSH(a new one would be 24.75 scale / 22 fret)? Wanna get a quacky sound on Pos 2 / Pos 4 and nice single coil tone thru coil split(I do understand HSH one really ain't got a "quack" tone of true SSS strat, But y'all know, "Never underestimate the power of greed" lol).

Please enlight me ;)

No 2 is the conventional choice, using the slug pole of the humbucker when coil split. The slug coils are normally a bit stronger than the scew poles so they may be better for the split tone, but it depends on the humbucker. There may be exceptions, eg. where humbuckers have more turns of wire on the screw pole, or possibly using two rows of screws instead of slugs on the inside poles. Humbuckers can vary a lot.

I was going to set humbuckers upside down when it comes to use number one method, and yeah, my pickups are typical slug+screw one. Thx a ton! ;)
