I couldn't take the wait any longer, went out and bought a squier body, and put the neck on it, replaced the electronics with something respectable and put a set of lace sensor hot golds on it. Man this is one sweet sounding axe. Run into my fair share of issues and 3 years after I purchased this neck, its finally onto a guitar. Hundreds upon hundreds of pounds all for this one sound. Totally worth it.

This pic is before I swapped the electronics and pickups. I'll add new ones when I can be arsed.

Funny that no one has answered this yet — this guitar looks particularly great. The neck is beautiful and works great with this body (and you can't go wrong with a white pickguard on a 2-tone burst).

Well done, sir.  No reason you can't use a Squier body as the basis for a totally kick-ass axe, and you've just proved it.

Cheers guys, it may only be a half moth but it still kicks ass in my world. Here it is with the lace sensors.

The pickups are amazing. Really impressed with them. Such a crisp clear bite, and with the wiring components suggested by Warmoth I can make it mellow enough to get an amazing jazz and distortion, or that classic stratocaster clean. Such a joy to play on, with such a massive diversity of sound.
