This was my second body built from scratch and, first of all: this is not a tribute to Jimmi Hendrix. The name it's a joke about the Spanish word "engendro" that means: a strange thing made using diferent things. As you can see, it's a crossover between a Strat and a Tele.

It has a maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, mounted on a really heavy body made out of elm tree wood. This has an appearance close to ash but it's more redish and a lot more heavy. As on my Roundcaster Tele, all the edges are rounded so this gives an original look to the instrument.

The pickups are a set of EMG SV staggered, that have a really vintage sound with the advantages of EMG (absolutely noiseless). The pickguard and controls came fron the Tele side: master volume ant tone but with a 5 positions switch.
The bridge it's a top loading Schaller 475, flatmount bridge with lot of adjustment possibilities.
The finishing in trans brown let see the nice figuring of the wood.

That's beautiful! Excellent job! I like the larger round-overs, and simplified controls. Never heard of using Elm for a body wood, but it looks good.

This shit is bananas. In a good way.

I LOVE the heel contour job that you did. I also love the tele style controls. I think tons of guitars would be better if they had tele style controls. The simplicity is perfect!

Good looking guitar.  Thats a helluva lot better than I could do.  I'm no good on precise wood work, maybe someday I can jack up a few builds myself to practice. :rock-on:
