Here's what I'm playing this morning. One of a string of dubious Warmoth connections. I bought the pickguard material from big Dubs, sooooo... counts. Ultra cheapo mahoganish body came to me nearly 10 years ago with the two outer pieces of the 3-4pc body split at the lower bout and splayed out, so I tossed it on a shelf until sometime mid-covid. Always had this idea of carving a strat body, but leaving the perimeter/profile intact. This was the worst body/piece of wood to ever choose to do this with, but after 6,000 coats of primer and wipe-on poly it came out surprisingly smooth. The switch position actually works well, but due to the carving is pushed a little closer than I'd prefer. I will definitely reproduce that on a different build where I have a little more room to work. It's wired sorta H-S-H:

The big tuner buttons look cool, but without the locking tuners it would be a pain to wind. Something about the lipstick pickups made me string it up lighter than I would normally with 9's tuned to E standard. And, who needs 2 tone knobs? Looks kinda like a strat, but sounds very different. Anybody else love thinner s-style bodies? I wish this was an option I could choose from more shops.
