Hi, all.

Been a while, eh?  So much drama to keep us busy with life these days.  I originally wrote this song to help me cope with a relationship ultimatum.

A minor system malfunction (LogicX) caused me to have to rethink this song, having lost the drums, strings, etc.  It was a good opportunity to apply what I've learned thus far, as well as give the ol' Vibrolux a whirl with the new Strat.

Here it is with new drums, strings, percussion, piano, and a new outro solo cut with the new Strat that uncovers what was inaudible due to a really aggressive fade out on the original.  Hope you enjoy.

I like it Frank. I'd like to hear a bit more volume on the guitar work. The drums and piano kind of dominated things but that might just be my hearing suppressing it. I do have strong hearing in the lows. Nice outro.

I must refer you to the same audiologist I've referred my wife to.  He specializes in people that are Awesome Impaired.  Haha!

The guitars are meant to be back in the mix a little bit on this one.  More of an ambient mix in general, but they are really present on this end.  I'll go have a listen in the car. Still learning my room; perhaps it's deceiving the ol' ears.

Cheers and hope all's well

I know absolutely squat about properly mixing a track, but the drums kinda sounded a little too "out-in-front", to me too. I did like it though....  :icon_thumright:

Weird.  The dudes at UnofficialZildjian say the drums are fine? :dontknow:

:laughing7:

Alright. After a cruise in the car, i can confirm the guitars can be raised a bit. Thank you for the feedback!

You guys were so dead on with the feedback.  It's not the room - it's the fact I let myself work on this for 4+ hours with no break.  Have to remember to push away from the desk to give the ears a break.  All done..for now.
