My mom recently stumbled across this picture and brought it over. My dad on the left, me on the right, Tommy CGP in the middle. Circa 1999. What a cool day it was! My dad used to own and operate a business making acoustic guitar bridge pins, bridges and nuts out of fossilized walrus ivory (ancient stuff, non-controversial). He reached out to Tommy's people and asked if Tommy would be interested in a set of custom pins for his Maton. Tommy was interested and we offered to hand deliver them at a show in Albuquerque, NM. So there we were, in line for this show, when a member of the staff came out looking for "the guy with the pins". Tommy had broken a pin changing strings before the show and had no spare! We were ushered in, met Tommy and hung out for a bit, and when Tommy came on stage he was playing a guitar loaded with bridge pins my dad made. It was a good day.
