can anyone give me some help with a tele wiring diagram for a single coil sized humbucker in the bridge and a single coil in the neck. What i want is the 3 way switch to be
1. humbucking bridge Middle. single coil bridge and 3. neck pickup.
P.s. its a 4 wire single coil sized humbucker made for coil splitting.

Thanks for any help you can give,

This is the closest I could find: http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=tele_1hum_1sing_pushpull
I couldn't find anything with your exact specifications on Seymour Duncan's page.

Patience will probably yield a schematic in this thread

After looking at the diagram AutoBat posted, I don't think what you want is possible using just a traditional tele 2-pole, 3-throw switch.

If someone wants to keep working on it, this attachment might help. The blue boxes show how the 3-way tele switch works internally, and SD's HB color codes.

For full humbucker using a 4-conducter HB, tie the finish of the south and north coils (red & white wires) together (and then don't connect them to anything.)

To tap one of the coils, the north coil in this example, SD recommends grounding the red & white wires. This effectively takes the south coil out of the circuit.

Ok, if I understand the OP correctly, he wants these selections on a 3-way switch

1. Full humbucking bridge pickup
2. Single coil of humbucking bridge pickup
3. Single coil neck pickup

If that's right, it's very easy to do. I just have to find a way to get a sketch posted. My scanner isn't behaving, and I'm not going to climb the learning curve of a new drawing program.

That's a very good idea. First thing in the morning I'll ink up the sketch to get some contrast, and shoot that.

Alright i had some time today and drew a crude picture and then adapted it to the picture from Biggus Pickus. this is my first time at doing a wiring diagram and its mostly from looking at his picture so, any help if this will work or not is greatly appreciated.

That looks like it should work.  :icon_thumright:

When the switch is up, it's just the neck pickup.
In the middle, only the signal from the south coil of the humbucker will be going to the volume pot.
When the switch is down, it'll be the bridge pickup in full humbucker mode.

I'd say it's time to wire it up. To check if everything works before you put the strings on, plug it in to an amp and touch a screwdriver to the pickups' pole pieces.

Also note: the colors in the diagram are for a Seymour Duncan mini humbucker. It'll be different if you're using a different brand HB.

thanks for the pic and the help and its greatly appreciated, i dont have the pickup yet but i hope to put a picture up when its done.  :icon_thumright:

I don't think the modified diagram you posted will work. The problem is, the illustration on the original SD diagram of how the 3 way switch works is misleading. I updated that illustration as well as the wiring diagram. This should give you what you're looking for.  :icon_thumright:
