Tele pickup route?

Someone want to explain to me why having a tele bridge pickup route done on a rear routed J-master is a 45 dollar upcharge?

Because, IIRC, the CNC isn't programed to make Tele routes in the Jazzmaster shape and, therefore, they would need to do it by hand or re-programing the CNC...

Yes.

I just looked it up, and you beat me to posting it.

Haha jeez, that sucks, guess ill have to build that body myself.

Why does that suck?

Warmoth offers the routings that have mainstream appeal. If you want something odd, they have to do that by hand, which slows their production, so they have to charge you more to make it worth their while.

Sorry in advance for the hijack - Line6man, can you offer me one good pod tone suggestion for bass? They all sound identical - like a farty practice amp.

What tone are you after? What kind of bass and rig?

I'm usually playing mine with everything bypassed these days, save for the noise gate and the occasional use of a distortion.
I've come to prefer the direct bass tone more than a mic'd amp tone for the type of sound I am after.

I used to favor the David Eden model ("Adam & Eve") a lot though, that sounded pretty good with my old Variax Bass before I converted to fretless exclusively.

To stay on topic, the "Tele PU route" model is absolutely amazing, select it from the Jazzmaster guitar slot.
I could swear there was really Telecaster pickup routing on a Jazzmaster! You won't think it sounds like a farty practice amp when you hear the tele route. :blob7:
