Maybe we need to see a pair of Mayfly speakers 5' tall and 3' across? :icon_biggrin:

They are, even though their aesthetics don't fit most of our homes their sound is beautiful, the concentric speaker has been Tannoy's trademark for a long time. I like all the models in the Legacy & Prestige GR lines and have heard pretty much all in HiFi shows. The Westministers need space to give their max and unlike some who use low watt single ended amps I prefer lots of power to move the 15" woofers.

BTW...Better don't check the cost. Most of us can't afford them.

"They are, even though their aesthetics don't fit most of our homes"

Is that code for most of us are married?

Back in the heyday of  vinyl bigger was better.  Now smaller is ... well ... smaller.

I read "Their aesthetics don't suit..." as "most of us don't have space to put a couple large refrigerator-sized objects in our living space."

Most of us who do would want them full of beer? No, wait! Then that would fall into the code swarfrat mentioned.

I thinks that's more code for, "Most of us don't have $25K, EACH, for a set of speakers!" That, and the fact that I'd have to move a couch out to the garage just to get them in my living room....

but there is always room for another fridge ... speakers the size of a fridge, not so much.

Ooops.  I originally read $145,000 when I saw the ad...

Obviously I'm insane.  Or something.

nah normal ... i do that all the time,  you should see what they can get for a fridge.

Some people would have 50 guitars & 20 amps in a room, others would have 2 huge refrigerators. Just different taste, the key as always is what you can afford, not what you want. You can find guitars & speakers from $100 and you can find guitars (vintage) and speakers that cost millions.
Westministers cost nothing compared to the Wilson Master Chronosonic ($850,000/pair). The Wilsons cost nothing compared to a boat or a private jet. If you have money there's always something you can buy.

BTW...When I said aesthetics I meant Tannoys look to me they belong in a palace or at least in a big old house with tall ceilings. Their looks are 1940 for me. The Wilsons on the other side, their top expensive & ugly (IMO) models look like speakers (or cyborgs) from the future.

Wow- it's amazing the price people charge for this stuff.

I think my prices are too low...

Simple: offer two lines. One like you already have with the clear finish and another painted silver with black trim and a deep clear coat (or something similar) for a substantially higher price point.
