Switching to a Wider Neck

Hello all. The new guy here... I'm a drummer now learning guitar and have new calluses on my fingertips to prove it. I inherited a 1984 Ibanez Roadstar II Series guitar. I believe the neck width is only 43 at the nut and would like to go to a wider neck. Does Warmouth offer one? Would I need to modify the neck pocket to make it happen?
Thank you in advance....

While any random 80's guitar could have fender spec pocket, it's not a given, and Ibanez isn't listed as a compatible one.

Finding a wider than Ibanez nut width shouldn't be hard on any budget.

I play bass and have thick fingers. I bought an acoustic guitar and Stratocaster last year to learn guitar. The acoustic has a neck 1 3/4" (44.5mm) and the Strat has a standard 1 11/16" (43mm) nut. I struggled for a while and decided to purchase a Super Wide 1 7/8" (47.6mm) neck for my Strat. It is much easier for me to play chords with. Warmoth currently has 14 44.5mm wide necks and 1 Super Wide neck in stock.

I'm pretty sure the Ibanez Roadstar series prior to the heavily contoured Radius/Power/Saber models had Fender-pocket bodies and scale length.  I think you could go on Jemsite or some other Ibanez user forum and suss out whether a Warmoth neck would suit your needs.  Indeed, you could phone Warmoth and see whether they have any institutional memory of serving a customer with your situation before.
