Anyone have any links to completed builds with Sustainiacs? Joe Satriani using one has me more interested than ever. I finally had the chance to play one and it reminded me of when I used to play violin.

I'll be honest, I tend to use it as a twangy very Strat like Strat, or on the Sustaniac as a sine wave generator for my FX pedals to process.


The Sustainic pickup sounds quite nice as a neck pickup on a Strat.

My warmoth strat has one and my yet-to-be-assembled Jazzmaster with strat pickups is getting one too. Any future guitar I would own must have one. To me it's as essential as tuners xD

I don't know anything about the soldering job, though. But if you have any "user" question I can try to help

I noticed a Schecter I got to play (with a Sustainiac) had great pickup tone in addition to the awesome sustain effect. Big tone with clarity. I wonder what the difference in the humbucker size versus the single coil is. Not the most informative website (or modern) that the company is running..

I think it's the same thing, only in a bigger case.

The difference is just the size. It's made so it fits a humbucker cavity, but only one of the pickups actually work.

And yes, the website is so old. I offered Alan making a new website for free (because I'm a fan and don't like the website being so messy xD), but after a couple of conversations I got no more responses, and then the virus came, so... Hopefully one day
