Loving the contoured neck heel:

First impressions are very positive, the body is extremely light, and the quality appears to be very good. There's two little dimples in the finish on the top but I can drop fill them easy enough. Overall though im quite pleased and cant wait to finish this!

Looking good  :occasion14:

Have you decided on what pickups and pickguard colour you are going to use?

I'm back ..... Just had to get my Hawaiian Shirt & these :glasses9:  :glasses9: :glasses9: on ......... :icon_jokercolor: :icon_jokercolor:

WOW that looks very nice indeed  :icon_thumright: as I'm doing a few Quilt tops at the moment. This makes a very nice change to look at.

Should look great when completed ..... Contoured Heel's are nice too.

Al thou that Neck plate just doesn't seem right  :laughing7:

:icon_scratch:  So whats the 2nd Body then ?

I generally prefer fancy tops, but there's something I just love about Surf Green Strats. The rest of my builds will all be quilt or flame tops.

I'd love to get a custom one for this, might check around and see whats available.

That's going to be sweet. Did you pick up an actual Fender neck? Sorry if you mentioned that and I missed it. Seeing the decal threw me off!

Thanks for the shot of the contoured heel with the neckplate. I already ordered my Jazzy with a regular heel but, thanks to my pickpocket fingers, that "feature"  :tard: has never been an issue. I'm going to go contour for my next build, though, now that I know how flush the screws actually are in the angled plate.

Yup, its a 2010 Am Std neck. I was considering a Warmoth neck but I absolutely love the necks on the current Am Std Fender range. I did order a Warmoth neck for my other body though.

The contoured heel is really nice, esp around the cutaway. The screws sit practically flush on the plate, if you run your finders over them you can kinda feel the edge of the screw but you'd never notice it playing.

that sure is a long story! I actually worked in Booterstown, but spend most my lunches in Blackrock :) (and drank most my beer in either the Old Punchbowl or the Merrion Inn)
I lived in Dalkey (Bullock Harbour) and later in Killiney (right on top of the hill!) Man, I really miss it.

Anyway, the company I worked for in Booterstown relocated their European Ops center to Germany, but i worked closely with a lot of my Texan coworkers, so they ended up transferring me here... (and that is the short version)

Your probably better off over there for the moment anyways, things arent so hot over here right now. Jobs are scarce and taxes are becoming ridiculous, at least we still have nice Guinness though  :occasion14:
