Superwide Strat neck or Superwide Warmoth neck for Tele?

Quite by chance I discovered that what I need to improve my guitar playing is a wide neck. I need the full 1 7/8" width nut from the Superwide options.

Should I just buy a used MIM Tele and get a Superwide neck?

Should I get the chambered maple Hybrid Tele body that is closest to my idea of how a guitar should be? (the body comes to more than $600 by the time I choose everything I want!)

If I ask nicely can Warmoth do a Superwide with a Tele headstock instead of the less desirable (to me) Strat shape?
I _think_ I would choose the Warmoth shape over the Strat shape if they won't do the Tele headstock....

I really love the way the Strat jack socket is done. Really love it. I took a chisel to my Epiphone Firebird to fit a Strat jack socket... (if you are interested it has a horrible shapeless neck that feels like a baseball bat. The body shape is lovely and comfortable. The pickups are very average and have to be changed. The Steinburger tuners are wonderful.)

If I was buying a superwide neck and had to choose between the Warmoth or the Strat style, I'd pick the Warhead. Not so much filigree and real estate as a Strat headstock, and not the droopy dick look of a Tele headstock, but still 6 inline tuners with a straight string pull.

The superwide neck has the same mounting dimensions as a regular Fender neck spec, so be careful which body you buy if you don't buy a Warmoth. MIM, MIJ, MIB(asement) bodies are supposed to be Fender spec - Fender makes most of 'em, after all - but watch the neck pocket dimensions.
