Some options are asked for so rarely, they aren't programmed as options into the "builder" page, nor do they show up as "spec" parts in the "Showcase". For instance, you won't see it mentioned on the site anywhere, but depending on the model, they can sometimes recut a headstock to a different style for a small upcharge. For me, I have a preference for their "Warhead" headstock, but they don't make nearly as many of those on spec for the showcase as they do Strat necks. Thing is, I sometimes see a Strat neck that is otherwise highly desirable to me. So, I've had them recut the headstock. Used to be $40, I think it's more now. I happen to know they can cut Tele headstocks out of Strats as well. In both cases, there's enough wood up there to do it.
Anyway, I don't see or know of a reason offhand why a Tele neck couldn't be "Superwide", but it could be that it's rarely if ever asked for so you'd have to call to find out if they'll accommodate. Fortunately, calling them isn't like calling the DMV or something. Their sales people are highly knowledgeable, and are usually the ones who answer the phones. Your first instinct was right - to ask here - there are a lotta highly experienced and talented people hanging around here. But, again, Superwides aren't very common. I've only seen one in about 12 years or so, and I see a lot of Warmoth necks.
