so this week the eastern shore has gotten roughly 40 inches of snow (and hasn't stopped here yet). i've shoveled most likely a ton or more of snow. would not doubt that one bit. anyway after shoveling the driveway twice and clearing off my mom's car she's agreed to buy me strings. i've changes my mind and changed that from strings to enough supplies to get my squier '51 out of the planning stages. i want to finally make that thing a reality. roughly i would say i've got a $30-$40 budget from her, and i'm paying the rest.
the body is basswood (which i've always liked). the bridge will be a seymour duncan p-rails with the ring that splits coils (name escapes me). i really have no ideas for the neck pickup, but it has to be a single coil. could end up a single coil-sized p90, could be a single-sized humbucker, could be a strat or tele neck pickup. i'm open to all suggestions!
