to these babies will be joining a one EMG ALX/HZ , one Graphtec nut, one Wilkinson bridge and Schaller locking tuners - and let's not forget some golden toys from Doug  :glasses9:  I've dropped some in to see how they fit.

as you can see the whole thing will be gold and black(still have some black knobs not sure whether they work better), both I think work really well with this finish.
Anyway I can't stress how impressed I am with the quality of these pieces. the neck feels amazing and the attention to detail is astounding- and the burst is just incredible. I've notice that some folks here don't really feel it but you've got to see it in person, just oozes vintage.. the pics are pretty bad but what can you do, no sunlight after work  :tard: promise to put up more decent pics in a few

:headbang1:

Hows the scalloped fretboard? I've always wanted to pull the trigger on one but have been hesitant. I don't have anyone around with one I could try either.

The axe is awesome by the way!  :party07: Definitely digging it. Can't wait to see it finished!

Thanks man!
This is my second build and both share the scalloped neck feature(I grew up on Yngwie can you tell?).  I played a lot of guitars in between (more than 10 years between builds) but always enjoyed going back to the scallop feel (as in no wood only metal ). I like the grip it gives you and the fact you can press less on the string to get the same result. Definitely recommended :)

Points for originality. I never would have had the idea to paint a V Antigua, but yet, the finish is so well suited to the shape. As Cagey said, it's sharp. The Ziricote mates nicely to the creamy center of the finish, as well.

But I'm not sold on the gold humbucker ring. Get a black one on there to match the bridge.

Looks evil  :party07:

I'm with Line6man, go Black Mount ring & Knob, Tuners  :icon_thumright:

All due respect to Updown and line6man, I disagree. It looks great the way you have it. The knob and pickup ring contrast nicely with the hardware. All black accessories would look too stark in my estimation.

interesting you say that. I do plan on putting gold straplocks and Doug's gold neckplate and brass truss rod cover - that's why I used the gold ring to begin with. either way would be fun seeing different options and it's simple enough to change...

+1. I dig the contrast between the black hardware and the gold mounting ring and knob. Very sharp.

+1 The contrast really works with the Antiqua, which I am usually not too fond of.
Are you going with black tuners to go with the brass truss rod cover to keep the contrast on the head as well?
