Not try to stir up dookie but that was my thought/question too.  It's pretty streaky in that picture.  I still think it's gorgeous and would buy it in a heartbeat!

At $261.50 ?  It's a steal.  I was attracted more by the figured Maple headstock initially and was thinking if the fretboard does not suit my taste, I can always stain it.  My business mind at the time also tells me I can sell it and make a handsome profit.  Now that I have read this thread and examined the neck further, I must say I have been lucky to score something so unique and gorgeous.

Yeah, man, there are going to be people that don't like that kind of thing but I think you'll find more that do. Personally, I wouldn't have gone with straight lines like that but am definitely impressed with it being so figured. I got lucky on mine too but the pattern on mine looks more like a flame running up the fingerboard. Totally sweet. You should be really glad that you got something so cool.
