Strat on Teley?

Quick question:  you can put a Strat neck on a Teley body and not have any sonic/scale/neck overhang incompatibilities, can't you?
Or not?  Can you put a Strat neck on a Teley?

The heel shape of Strat® necks is rounded at the end, Teles® are squared. Strat® necks will fit Tele® bodies but show a gap at the corners. Tele® necks may not intonate on a Strat® body without neck pocket modification.

if you get a 22 fret neck, it will cover the gap on a tele body

I have a 22 fret strat heel neck on a tele body, and with the pickguard, you really cannot see the gap unless you get really close and look for it. Unless you are really OCD about looks it is not a big deal.
