i have always had this issue with my strat : the high e string is closer to the external edge of the fretboard than its low E counterpart.
i often tend to bar my forefinger while playing some lead runs - and occassionally that pushes the high e string off the fretboard.
i looked at the bridge and and saddles are slightly angled to the right - towards the high E. so the saddles are not in straight alignment with the fretboard. i looked at the holes in the bridge underneath the saddles but all the strings pass through them fine right through the middle.
i'm not exactly sure where the problem is. with the saddles or the position of the bridge (or its underlying holes in the body which makes it out of alignment with the neck?) or the warmoth conversion neck (does it not in some way match the body?).
the body is a late 80's fender mij 58 reissue.
appreciate any insights.
