Long time lurker, second time builder here. I continually check posts, mostly everyday, for new "out of the box" pictures and specs as well as the "work in progress" posts to see the amazing projects that all of you have. I confess that all of your projects fuel my need to build another warmoth axe and cannot wait to post my progress of my current build. Please feel free to post your opinions and questions, or reply to any questions that I might post in the near future. I am still, by far, an amature builder and appreciate any input or advice that all of you have to offer.
Here are the specs of my current build:
-Strat body, tigerseye with clear brown back finish.
-Birdseye maple neck, pau ferro fretboard with '59 roundback contour, 6150 frets.
-Fender custom shop '69 pickups
-Wilkinson Vs100 tremolo in chrome
-Schaller mini locking tuners in chrome
-Cts 250k pots, thinking about either traditional wiring or have one push/pull to have the bridge pickup on/off in any position that is selected.
-Black 3 ply pickguard
-Also bought pickup covers, knobs and switch in black, cream and parchment. I couldnt decide on color scheme so, for a minimal price I now have every option I was looking for and will decide when it's all in front of me.
I'll be posting pics in the "just out of box" thread as soon as the package arrives.
Wish me luck, criticisms welcome.
