Strat build in progress
Basswood body, Reranch paint, minwax lacquer.
Just finished sanding, compounding, polishing and wiring.

Neck was delivered today, I already screwed up my tuner layout. Having trouble lining up the pins of the Sperzels. Hopefully, I'll have better luck tomorrow.

Perhaps you didn't notice, but the Sperzel package has a template as part of it that you can use to align those locator holes.

If you plan to do a number of necks over time, StewMac sells a little alignment jig...

It's kinda pricey unless you're going to install a lotta tuners; then it's a handy thing to have.

Thanks guys. It was pure human error on my part. I did use the Sperzel template. But my pilot holes didn't line up right. What I didn't do initially was pop a tuner into the template first. That made everything line up correctly. Luckily I only had an issue with 2 of my holes and was able to make it right.
Now I'm spraying with amber tinted lacquer.

Thanks again,
Rob

Thanks guys.
Good catch Stratamania. It is absolutely Jeff Beck inspired except for the color. That was an accident. Based on the Reranch color description, I thought it would be the color of the Gretsch anniversary model but it looks more like a muted surf green. It has grown on me.

Thanks very much guys. I appreciate it. I'm not much of a player but the guitar plays great.
