Strat Bridge Tone Control

I'd like to have my first tone control on my strat control the neck and middle, and tone 2 to control the bridge. Can somebody please point me in the direction of a specific wiring scheme to accomplish this? I think the standard strat wiring would leave me with tone 2 controlling the bridge and middle rather than just bridge, right?

On the 5 way switch, move the wire that goes to the 2nd tone pot from the "middle" lug to the "bridge" lug.

On the 5 way switch place a jumper from the "neck" lug to the "middle" lug. The "neck" lug will now have two wires on it, the jumper and the wire that goes to the 1st tone pot.

Do not do anything with the wires or lugs on the other side of the 5way that go to the pickups.

That should do it. Actually a nice mod :icon_thumright:

+1 on this being a great mod, I don't have my middle wired up to a tone knob, but I think I am going to go back and add it in sometime in the future. I also added a push-pull on the bridge tone that switches the bridge on giving you neck/bridge in 1st position and all three on in 2nd.

Here is a diagram what TroubledTreble has described :-

TroubledTreble.................psssst, I saved the drawing from a learned contributer from another forum who probably would not mind me sharing it with other wiring modders.
