Strap button location on iceman guitars

anyone dealt with this issue?  the more recent ibanez models have them higher up on front and back, more like a les paul.  the original locations seem to be on the back of the guitar by the neck and on the bottom of the tail on the back.  any thoughts on which option feels more balanced when standing and playing?

the closer to the headstock you can move that strap button the more balanced the guitar will be, which means that on the iceman, for best balance you would put it on the heel in the upper left neck bolt. The only drawback would be if you put your thumb on the heel of the guitar while playing on the high frets because then the button might get in the way.

I used to own and old Iceman and the strap buttons were like on a LP. Never had a problem.
