Stolen Guitar: San Francisco

I go to SF every other week for work and am always out watching musicians there and here in SB. I'll look out for it. All I gotta do is see the back of the headstock which is usually doable.
Hope it gets returned, bummer.

He didn't really steal it, he just immorally kept it.  Maybe he figured if he turned it in to lost and found someone else would just take it, and he's waiting for you to track it down.  You should follow another poster's advice and call the company.

EDIT - assuming he just forgot it in the trunk.  If the guy drove off intentionally to keep him from getting it out of the trunk, cut off his hands.  Or forgive him.  Either way.

cab drivers always seem to be reporting in to their command call center about their trips/fares on their radio. so maybe the company has a record of the trips based on place and time. you should check with the company and try to identify the cab/driver.

This came up on Craigslist, might be worth a look:

Nope - that's a blonde with no middle pickup added. Adding this so nobody else bothers the guy for pictures for the same reason I did. :)

The cabie turned it in and Ted got it back.
He just didn't bother to make it well known.

Case Closed.

Need help!! A Yellow cab driver in San Francisco drove off with my beloved
1996 FERNANDES Telecaster Guitar, Serial# 025816, in the trunk and the
scumbag NEVER turned it in to lost and found. I'll pay a reward to get it
back, but really want that cab driver burned at the stake for stealing
it...It even has my name written on the back of the headstock.

Why doesn't he just report it as stolen?  Surely the cab company should be able to tell him who was driving the cab at the time...

Because it was returned?
