I heard the term "Spider Webbing" to describe a feature on the grain on some wood, in the same way that Burl, Flame, Spalt  or Birdseye is a feature.
What is spider webbing' exactly, and is it a pretty feature or one to be avoided like knots( though some people like the odd knot)?
Does anyone have a picture of "spider webbing"? on wood.
I tried google put can't bring up a thing.

But specially when that lines are small, looking like spider webs:

It's usually said about Ziricote

Breedlove is also making Ziricote guitars, however there are a number of custom builders making them also.

WOW, that is really a beautiful back.  :glasses9:  One of my favorites
:kewlpics: :rock-on:

I don't see any spider webbing on it though - looks more like sand dunes in the desert.  Beautiful guitar.

Is that a taylor? Saw some very nice ziricote backed taylors at the dallas guitar show..

yes, thats right.. you also played one with a really nice macassar ebony back.

Spider webbing is commonly associated with Ziricote.  You can see in the pictures above the segmented patterns, if the close off more it is spider webbing.  It has to do with woods that have annuli in their growth patterns/grains.  The Warmoth site used to have a great picture on their neck wood description site.  It sort of looks like what is shown in the pictures above.
