Sperzel Set Pin Distance

I was wondering if anyone knows the distance from the center of the shaft on a Sperzel tuner and the set pin.  I'm measuring 15/32" and I want to check my number against other peoples measurements to double check.

I'm trying to layout the template in a CAD program.  For the set pin I plan to use a 7/64" hole.  I just want to get the distance right.  I plan on making  3x3 and a 6-inline templates.

Thanks,
Rob

Will this help?

It doesn't give the dimension you're asking for, but there are enough of the others that it can be derived.

15/32" (.46875") is close, but 7/64" (.10937")?

The actual value according to the drawing works out to .462"

I've no experience with CAD programs, but couldn't you just use the decimal values and put in the exact values?
If so that pic is beyond awesome.

Actually, that's the preferred method. Fractions usually aren't exact enough for machine work. Plus, your better CAD packages can auto-dimension if you use real numbers.

Sorry for ot,
but I'm the only one which sperzel t/l tuners don't like for functionality (only 12:1 ratio) and aesthetics? I've Sperzel T/L but I don't know if I buy it again...

What I did on my Sperzel knockoffs was just just use a straight edge (trem cover plate)  to square up all the tuning keys along their flat side, then drill the holes.

...Don't those tuners come with a drilling template?
My Sperzels came with a little cardboard template for a single tuner (so you can do one at a time). If you were going to do it often I could see a more proper template being handy. Stew Mac will sell you a metal single tuner jig for $37.50 :)

Thanks for the pic.  I should of checked that on the Stew Mac site.  The purpose is to make a template I can just align and clamp on to the headstock, then I'll just drill the holes.  The cardboard alignment is driving me nuts and I have to do it one at a time.  Rather then making a template by hand I thought I could get one made via CNC hence the question.  Just trying to save some time and make things a little easier.  I've got templates for other things just not sperzels.  I just started using them a few months back.  Indeed the measurements will end up being in mm.  For now I was just measuring with my straight edge.  thanks everyone for help.

Ah - when I posted this on my blackberry I was in text only mode and didn't catch 'pin'. My answer was about lining up tuner holes for locating screws rather than hidden locating pins.
