i used to build for Godin guitars and

Most of the hardware for this came from ebay.
This JM is a twist on the original.

Warmoth Alder JM body natural finish Hand-rubbed oil
Warmoth Pro short scale strat neck maple/rosewood
Tortiose Pickguard H/H , Vol, Tone, jack, lower 3 way switch
Hardtail Fender US standard string thru ferrules
Fender US staggered tuners

lefty JM are hard to come by and spendy so warmoth was the answer.

I live right down the road from Paul Reed Smith, but the place is kind of a sweatshop. Typically, you start as a sander, then stay there, then stay there. I could probably bring in a few of my homie guitars and at least get a job finishing fretwork; but it's a fretwork sweat shop! There are way too many people building good guitars these days - contrary to the DeTemple & D'Pergo and PRS hype, it really, really AIN'T rocket science. Godin & Masterworks both have good reputations, Godin synth-access guitars are some of the best out there. But I don't like guitar synths... I hope you at least scored some nice stuff from each.

well i didn't get any "stuff". but i did get some great skills,
building design and techniques. guitarworks is a super
small outfit. great guys to work for (2 brothers/2 employees)
godin was more production oriented.

Is this what's known as a VIRUS? Should a team of experts be assembled to eradicate it? I think so....
