Sorta a Payolla thing

So I have this idea of wiring a bridge pickup on a guitar for extra volume and (hopefully) an over dub effect. I'd like to hear the bridge pickup twice if that makes sense.
I was wondering If I used a second output jack in the spirit of the Payolla Telecaster. I wouldn't go all the way and use a second switch or volume/tone.
Does this sound like something that would work?
