An EDM / Jazz Fusion song with a Chapman Stick solo, Jazz Voices and a hint of Russian Saber Dance.
2 instances of Omnisphere, 2 of Stylus, 1 of Kontakt

The Chapman Stick and jazz feel is the second half of the song.

(about 30 hours from start to finish)

"Bounce"? I think I would have called it "Post-apocalyptic Elevator Music".

Wait, no, that's a genre. Ok. Call it "Gimme Back My LIfe" :laughing7:

LOL - ROFL  - - - "Post-apocalyptic Elevator Music"

But did you get as far as the Chapman Stick solo or did you bail early?

I'm sorry, I had to bail early. I think I gave it about 3 minutes.

Wow, for the first half, I felt transported back to the mid-1980s.  Visions of languid young women with dayglo hair and skinny, spiky-haired young men in primary colors with geometric designs on them dancing in my head.  Either that, or the soundtrack for the credits to a corporate training video ten years later.

Onward to the second half:  Usually when I hear the phrase, "Chapman stick solo," I reach for my revolver.  Probably due to the 1980's solo recordings of Emmett C. himself, who dealt in a really annoying flanged sound and noodly, self-indulgent arpeggiations that I found unlistenable.  That said - your piece gets away from the campy "Look how 80's we can sound!" vibe toward a little more mature mood when you get busy on the Stick.  Nicely done.  Overall, a fun listen.

No problem ... I'll release the old farts mix next week that starts with the jazzy stuff.  :icon_tongue:

Thanks Bagman!
It's nice to hear detailed commentary.

That's really awesome, quite enjoy the start of it with the Synths and stuff, just wish that part was a bit longer  :icon_tongue:
