I saw that one a while ago, I actually thought about getting it for my 1st build but I wanted to go TOM string-thru, so I didn't get it. Actually paid more through the bodybuilder but it's what I wanted. It will make a happy owner, though! :cool01:

Ah, what's your guitar body going to look like?  Which options did you go with?

I actually went with walnut soloist based on a recommendation. Gloss finish, TOM, string thru H-S-H.

I do like the look of zebra, though. I like that the stripes in the wood are vertical, a unique look.

Just trying to pop my guitar build cherry!  :o Can I say that around here?

As shipping here takes either 6 days or 6 weeks, so far the only thing that has trickled in are strap locks.  :toothy11: I have nothing but time, though...

Enough hijacking, jump on that mutha for yourself and make a super-strat!

:headbang1:

Man I almost did, but I already have a SS!  I'm playing the waiting game, as well, haha.  Body just went into paint so maybe 4 more weeks.  So long!

Alrighty - So it's basically a Zebra/Mahogany/Tobacco Burst, with JB/Jazz Chrome covered pups and a TOM with Wolfie neck and 1-3/4 nut width on a W headstock.  It's got one tone control and a 3-way toggle.  Such a fun guitar to play and I've recently lowered the JB and have been getting some awesome lower gain tones out of it.

I love the extra room between strings, but find it harder to manage some solos where my ring finger needs to play on the lower strings.  Overall very, very nice and that's nothing a little technique adjustment can't address.

Sounds pretty fantastic. How do you like that 1 3/4" nut? Pretty good string spacing?

It's got a really beefy feel, so beware.  If I wasn't using this neck, I'd ship it to you so you could test it out.

Mighty nice of you!  :guitaristgif: I'm even considering the 21 fret option, just to put some limits on there. I'll already have a 24 fret soloist so a 21 fretter might be a nice change of pace every now and then. I kind of want all my guitars to be different rather than all of them playing the same way.

Oh man go 22 - you may not think you'll ever go that high, but one day you may want to play a Darkness solo  :party07:

Oh, I go that high all the time but I like the idea of bending up to the high E from C#.  :laughing3: Who knows, maybe I'll take your advice and go 22. :occasion14:

When I pick up 24 fretters at shops it messes with me since I've played 22 for so long. Nothing some practice won't fix, like you said.

Tipperman, I see the message you sent. Gonna go read it now.
