Solderless ground bar

Has anyone out there done anything like this?  I'd like to do a solderless ground bar.  I've attached a pic of what I'm thinking, but I'm not sure yet on the implementation.

The aluminum block is 1.6 inches in length.  I think it would be mountable through shielding, grounding that.  The biggest problem I see is it only is "rated" to 14 gauge, so a crimp connector would be needed for smaller gauges.

If anyone has done something like this and has a smaller part that would accept smaller gauge wire, I'd be very interested.  I'm attempting to allow for some experimentation without having to break solder every time.  I'm not a huge fan of the single lug option, although in a pinch I will probably resort to that.

On one of my builds, I couldn't seem to get the ground wire to solder correctly to the backs of the pots, so i put in a heavier gauge ground wire attached to the body and soldered all the grounds to it, just like on my boat.  Worked like a charm.  Also makes it a lot easier to change things out, just heat the solder to the ground wire and pull away.

I am sure this would act in the exact same way.

Another option I found, but this one's even bigger at 2.6" long, and 1.1" high.  I have to believe they make these smaller, but everything I find is for mounting to a circuit board.

What would be the purpose of doing something like this? It sounds like a solution in search of a problem, and a proper soldered connection is always superior.

Undoubtedly, you are correct.  As I'm installing an Audere system, the other connections are made to that system without solder.  I was looking for a quick-connect type system similar to that.

There's a third wire from each of the two Nordstrand pup which connect to ground.  That, plus the shielding, bridge and jack gives me more ground wires to deal with in one connection than I want to.  However, a single lug might just be the best solution.
