Nice post, but was probably new thread worthy.

Wana, sorry about your luck with your pedal.  This has nothing to do with age, 'cuz we've done it and will continue to do it.  Sometimes we want what we want for no reason.  All the research in the world won't change our minds.  Sometimes getting exactly what you want shows you wanted something else.  If buying this pedal helped you find three others that sound better, then I'd say you got your money's worth.
Thats a quoteworthy post, all apart from the moneys worth part  :laughing7:

Thanks

In other words, chalk it up to 'life experience' & learn from the mistake....? :icon_scratch:

Not really, this one is more 'mistakes can produce positives'. Not really learning from a mistake, but gaining things that you didn't intend to.

Well, put it this way, Wana, you can now write a pretty good review on the pedal and even do some clips to prove your point. :toothy10:

And yes, that gives you some experience and able to offer some advice on the subject. You say there's 3 other pedals that are better? Maybe offer up some names and folks here might have some experience with those pedals.

Hopefully you will get a  reply email soon and things will be moving along more positively. :laughing8: :guitarplayer2: :headbang1: :toothy10: :party07: :guitaristgif:

Alright then, the three other pedals that I have been informed about that sound more modern:

HardWire TL-2
Blackstar Dist. X
BIYANG Metal End (I've heard fantastic reviews on this pedal, unfortunately dealers of this brand are nowhere to be found)

Ha ha, never heard of 'em!  :help: :tard:
Darn, I feel OLD!
Have you tried any of these pedals yet? (I mean - the other two that can be found). Might be best to drag your own guitar and amp (if it's small enough) along, so you have a good reference point.

Well, I called the place where I got the pedal, I can send it back, but I have store credit although i'm allowed to get the money back. Lets hope if they sell something I wanna buy, I don't have to wait 3 months for it.

No need to feel old, Pete, I had no knowledge of any of these pedals until a week ago. If any of the stores near me have any of these pedals in stock (I got the Mayhem from Sydney) I'll try them out.

I've heard good things about the Biyang, but they're apparently still extremely hard to get outside of China.

The Boss ML-2 seems to be hit or miss depending on gear but apparently decent.  It'd be at least worth a listen, plus they'll probably have it in stock.

As far as Adam Jones of Tool goes, have you seen this?

I can't find a Biyang dealer in Australia, let alone near me. So i'm, crossing that one off the list.
As for the Boss, i'll have a go. All of the stores stock them.

And Adam Jones.    Bloody hell.  :icon_tongue:
