I wasn't trying to bring you down.  This whole thread is going forward like this is a done deal and it isn't.  There's been too many times people have had their heart set on a showcase piece only to have it gone when they go to order it.  I too have dealt with the frustration of a showcase piece being perfect minus one detail only to find out it was a custom one off not available for scratch builds.  I love the raised center on the Birds too, and think it's a shame they are mahogany only.  They look so good with dyed maple.  Good luck.  No doubt this will be a good looking, unique build that will play and sound good to boot.
