Another one who doesn't realize what he wants is not what it's worth:

The body is $460 new on the custom builder, and this guy is asking $500.  I wanna help the guy out, but whenever I email someone to tell them their expectation is out of line, I get called names.  And I'm actually polite to them about it.

I've got a buddy who's like that. Has a basement loaded with old gear, most of which is of questionable value, but he's convinced it's all worth a ton. Some years back, he got broken into and lost a goodly amount of stuff, but the idiots didn't have any idea what was valuable or not either, so there was no prejudice in what they took. The insurance company wasn't too impressed with what was lost, and to this day he still cries about the settlement he got, considering it abusively low even though most of what he lost wasn't really worth that much in real life.

Some people just have a misguided opinion of what things are worth. They don't realize that you don't get to set the price; the market does. Love, need or age don't count for squat; supply and demand do.
