single conductor pickups in tele

I have single conductor humbuckers that I want to wire up with just a single tone and volume like a tele.

I understand the braided wire is the ground and such, but have no clue how to wire this up. Help!

Ignore the red/white that are coming out of the humbuckers on this image. Those doesn't exist on a single conductur pickup. Also the green is the shield/ground in your example.
 
In a Tele control cavity, the metal braid of the pickup lead is uncomfortably close to lots of things you don't want shorted to ground. I'd recommend soldering a wire to the braid to run to ground and insulating the braid with heat shrink tubing.

Not sure why the diagram would indicate 250k pots in this application; purely a matter of your preference but I'd think about 500ks for the humbuckers.
