Do you ever get tired of artistic triumphs, Greg?  Because you're batting 1.000 on these dang wood-burner designs.  Must get boring.  Heh.

Beauty work, is all I'm saying.  Just lovely.

Thank you, folks. Nope, never get tired of it, as long as the ideas feel fresh to me...The neck for this guitar is bound ebony-on-maple with turquoise dot position markers, and I'll dye the headstock face
to match the turquoise of the body. That's a new one for me.  Neck's due to arrive in the next few days....

Awesome work.  My wife is Assiniboine.  I showed her a few of you pieces.  She loves them.
I have a couple of questions if you don't mind.

Do you seal and sand prior to drawing on the body?
what are you using to color?
What finish do you use once you don't coloring?

Cheers!

I seal after coloring; I have to use a spray sealer because the stuff you brush or wipe on causes the
aniline dyes I use to run. On this piece I used india ink for the black, and enamel paint pens for the silver. Once coloring is done I seal or shellac and use a gloss Minwax wipe-on poly. The results are OK, but can't begin to compare with a professional spray booth operation like Warmoth's.
Thank you for the kind words-glad you enjoy the work!  Greg

I should have added that I really like it too, but as a white guy it doesn't have the same cultural significance.

This is your best work to date in my mind!

Are you out of your mind?!? :icon_jokercolor:

Thanks, Frank, that's great to hear--So far, I'm pleased with it too. The details on the neck will hopefully make it a truly unique piece.
