Finally getting around to posting this... Last year was my 25th anniversary of playing guitar so I wanted to commemorate that with a build.  Some quick math reveals that I got my start in 1989 so the goal was to build something with an 80s feel.  :party07:

Body:
Swamp Ash Warmoth Star
Quilted Maple Top
Fireburst top finish with clean line option
Clear gloss back finish

Neck:
Warmoth Arcade
Canary/Pau Ferro
Quilt Maple Veneer w/ Fireburst finish
Standard Thin Contour
Full Scallop
SS6100 frets

Hardware/Electronics/Misc:
Bare Knuckle Holydiver calibrated set
Two independent volumes, push-push for series/parallel
3-way toggle is coil-cut for the neck pickup

That's an awesome axe, and the neckplate really ties a bow around it.

I hope you have stocked up on hairspray.  You're gonna need big hair to counterbalance the supernova of awesomeness that guitar brings.

Ifn I were to ever do one, just flipping the thing over would fix the balance problems it inherited from the Explorer with an ugly knot hole that had to be excised.  Just sayin - you got a huge balance lever there going to waste.

Nice guitar bro!  I enjoy jammin' along side this guitar from time to time.  :rock-on:
