Yeah, a  Crime against all Guitar Aesthetics..The terrible Mahogany and Maple!
Witness what i am considering doing in a cold  premediated fashion. Should I run with this, or wait to pick up a Warmoth Mahogany Headstock neck with a darker fingerboard  ( either Pau or Ebony or Mahaogany )off the showcase to match this pretty Warmoth  Mahogany body?;

Hmm, well they certainly don't match... but they don't look bad together either.  Gibson put maple necks on Les Pauls in the 70s.  I say string it up and see how you like it  :icon_thumright:

I had an 80s Ibanez 540 Sabre that was Mahogany w/Maple Board and...DAMN...IT SOUNDED SWEET!

Nothing wrong with Maple and Mahogony.  I've heard some great sounds come out of that combo before.

I've got a G&L with a maple / maple neck on mahogany body and it growls.

my LP from warmoth has a maple/ebony neck on a mahog/maple top lp body. its just perfect if u ask me. i always loved birdseye maple so i had that cause my EVH wolfgang has one unfinished and that neck is the most amazing thing i've played

Both of my Warmoths are maple neck (maple/maple & maple/ebony) and mahogany bodies. Wouldn't change a thing.  :headbang1:
